West coast cross country

On the 29th of July me, Elsie, Sophie, Tara, Cameron and Leo went to the Kumara race track, for the West coast cross country. I ran 2 km and came 8th. After my race Morgan got me a sausage. That was a fun day. Then we had to come back to school and work. :)

My class debate

This week my class and I had a debate, about if rules should or should not be broken. My team, of three was on the affirmative side and this is what we wrote.

To start with, what is a rule? It is an unnecessary guideline that is in the way of everyday life. They are a load of rubbish and are in the way of fun. Rules are right in the way when you are a child and want to play. Imagine if you are climbing a tree and then you are told that climbing trees is not allowed. You would climb down and then find something else to do, and then imagine you're told what you have found as a substitute is not allowed either. You have to mope around doing nothing until it is time to go to bed. I mean like everybody wants to do something with their day. Who wants to follow a strict rule sequence that stops you from having any fun? Not me. Rules are a whole load of rubbish right in front of the door, not moving and right in the way, also smelling bad too. Don’t let rules rule your life.

Is it really worth following the rules that are terrible?, i don't think so. We need to break them? Imagine all the little boys and girls in places that have a lot of rules, they are doing non-stop jobs while following those boring rules. So they NEED to go.It is like a little kid climbing a tree, if their parents said no climbing trees, it's a rule .This will mean that we wouldn't have any fun, from following so many rules. We don't need this, We need to be happy. Do you really think everyone would like this?, they wouldn't. It will ruin our quality of life. So rules must go.

Rules are just plain boring. Imagine if all rules had to be kept, no one would be able to do anything that they wanted to do. Kids all around the world would miss out on a lot of learning, do you want a child to miss out on a whole lot of learning that they could be doing? No, I don’t think so, this needs to be dealt with immediately. We can do without these dumb rules. I mean who wants to be stuck with all of these dumb, useless rules. no fun, no fun and no fun! This world is already dangerous, lets not let the rules take over as well. They don’t help us in any way, shape or form. They are just a waste of time and a useless bit of information.

Then I had the Rebuttal.

My paper house

In the first week of home school I started making a small paper house. It has two floors and lots of stuff that is usually in a normal house. The top floor is the bedroom with a cupboard, bedside table, some games, a bed and a crafting table.
