Big day out for Te Kinga

On the 7th of December Te Kinga class went to the lake for a day out. We first went to the Velinski track and when we got to the end of the track and Kaelyn was missing and so we went back up and yelled out her name, then we heard her whistle and we ran towards her and found her lying on the seat and she was shivering. Nic said "where is Kaelyn's group?" and Blake and Leo popped out of the crowd and then she said to help her. Then we remembered what we had learned the day before. Nic was teaching us first aid 101 and she taught us a heap of stuff about accidents that can happen. The boys tried everything to help Kaelyn stay 'alive' but they didn't manage to keep her alive, she died of hypothermia and then Nic said what they should've done. Then we went on to the Arnold river track and Tara and Jimi were the next victims of an injury. Their group managed to keep them alive, apart from Jimi's 'broken arm' they were fine. Next we went to the beach and my group's victim, Morgan, cut her hand and it was 'bleeding' a lot. We kept her alive and stopped the 'bleeding'. We built huts with a tarp as the roof and it had to be water proof and Alice poured a bucket of water on the top and our tent had HOLES IN IT!!! I got soaked because Uriah tipped the puddle on top of the tent all over me when I got out. We made fires and had marshmallows and smores. I helped start Kaelyn's group's fire because they couldn't get it started. When we were about to go back to school we said what our favourite part of the year was and I said the first day because this was the best year of my life.
